Carrots can be sown directly in the garden, or into pots and containers such as rusty buckets.  Make sure there are drainage holes and as soon as carrots are as large as your little finger, you can start to pull them!

Any perennial kale cuttings which were taken in the autumn should now have produced healthy little plants.  Start to harden them off for 10-14 days and plant them out, mixing a little manure into the planting hole and firming them in well.
